Gary L. Alexander
Founder & CEO

Gary founded Palomino Capital, and has achieved superior returns on capital throughout his tenure. With a disciplined focus on value investing, he has developed a strong track record through investments in the public markets, hedge funds and private companies. Prior to founding Palomino, he was an associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel in New York City.

Gary serves on the Board of Directors of Seventh Generation. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Relations from McGill University and a J.D. from The University of Miami cum laude where he served as Managing Editor of the University of Miami Law Review. He is currently a member of the bar of the State of New York.

Avi M. Hasen, CFA
Senior Analyst

Avi joined Palomino in 2010 following several years focusing on business development and operations in two early stage ventures. Prior to that, Avi spent 4 years as an Equity Research Associate at Desjardins Securities closely following companies in the Aerospace, Industrial and Technology sectors.

Avi completed his Bachelor of Commerce degree at McGill University in Finance and Accounting where he graduated with Great Distinction on the Dean’s Honour List with a McConnell Scholarship. Avi also holds the CFA designation.

Peter Graham
Special Advisor

From 1994 to 2004, Peter held various positions with Ladenburg Thalmann Group Inc., an investment banking organization, including Principal, President, Vice Chairman and Managing Director.

Peter serves as Chairman of the Board of Seventh Generation, Inc., a privately held consumer products company and since 1998 he has been a Director of Alloy Inc. (Nasdaq: ALOY), North America’s largest provider of non-traditional media and marketing services. Peter attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Marcos Tarnowski, CFA
Advisor

Marcos worked at Palomino from 2008-09 before returning to Mckinsey & Company. Previously, Marcos was an engagement manager at McKinsey & Company where he focused on growth strategies and marketing spend effectiveness. Prior to McKinsey, Marcos spent 4 years in the Strategic Initiatives group at Bombardier Inc.

Marcos holds a B.Com from the John Molson School of Business, an MBA from INSEAD and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
